About Us
The computer center of the
Annenberg School for Communication at the
University of Pennsylvania oversees the technology
related tasks at the school. Primarily, it manages, maintains, and develops an extended
LAN in our main building at 3620 Walnut Street, our satellite location at 3535 Market
Street and the
Annenberg Public Policy Center
at 202 S. 36th Street. This includes within each of three sites, their network
hardware and software, interconnectivity, and connectivity to the Internet.
While the staff provides support for many grants and faculty sponsored research
projects in the Annenberg School and the Public Policy Center, members of the
Annenberg community may benefit from the services provided by the computer center.
Faculty, staff, and students with office assignments each have their own computer
with a suite of software applications to facilitate productivity, a school email
account, network drive space, web space available by request, network printing, and
other facilities. Lab space may be available for research or for members of the
Annenberg community without office space. Additionally, the IT staff supports
instructional technology services, a digital media lab with scanning, digital
audio/video editing equipment, and media duplication and conversion.
