Annenberg doctoral student Gretta Moody was presented with the James D. Woods Award, given to an outstanding graduate teaching assistant, during the undergraduate graduation ceremony May 13 at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
Nominated by her students and peers, and recognized for her work in Communication 225: Children and Media, Ms. Moody was cited for her dedication to undergraduate learning, her commitment to fairness and excellence, and her accessibility to the students of the class. “She got to know each and every student’s name, and was highly respected by the students for both her academic standards and her willingness to put the time in necessary to ensure their success,” said John L. Jackson, Jr., Richard Perry University Professor of Communication and Anthropology, who was master of ceremonies at the graduation ceremony.
