Kerner Plus 40 – Annenberg takes a look at landmark report

The Annenberg School for Communication and the Center for Africana Studies at Penn are, along with North Carolina A&T State University, sponsoring “Kerner Plus 40,” a week-long look at the landmark 1967 National Advisory Commission on Disorders that warned “Our nation is moving toward two societies, one black, and one white – separate and unequal.” The event will take place February 25 – 29 at both universities.
Michael X. Delli Carpini, Ph.D., the Walter H. Annenberg Dean of the Annenberg School for Communication, will participate in a panel discussion on Race in the Media on Friday, February 29. A full schedule of activities can be found at the related web page, above.
