Annenberg’s Katherine Sender Published in the Journal of Media & Cultural Studies

Katherine Sender, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Communication, was published in a recent edition of the Journal of Media & Cultural Studies (Routledge, Volume 22, Number 4) for an article titled “Epidemics of will, failures of self-esteem: Responding to fat bodies in The Biggest Loser and What Not to Wear.” The article, which is available here, reports on a survey of individuals who have watched those television programs. The survey was done as part of a larger project on reality television.  Dr. Sender's co-author on the article was Margaret Sullivan (MA '07).
