Michael X. Delli Carpini, Ph.D., Professor of Communication and Walter H. Annenberg Dean, is being recommended for a second term as Dean of the Annenberg School for Communication. Penn President Amy Gutmann and Provost Vincent Price said in today’s Penn Almanac the review committee concluded that Dean Delli Carpini’s first term (which began in 2003) was “characterized by marked success across major dimensions: faculty recruitment and retention, student quality and satisfaction, financial and administrative management, grant-funded research, and engagement with the broader community.” The second term recommendation will be voted on by the University Trustees at its February meeting. Dean Delli Carpini’s second term runs through June 30, 2015.
