Professor Elihu Katz to be honored by Université du Québec à Montréal

Elihu Katz, Ph.D., Distinguished Trustee Professor of Communication, will receive an honorary doctoral degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal in Montreal Canada during a conference where he will discuss his landmark books Personal Influence: The Part Played by People in the Flow of Mass Communication and Media Events: The Live Broadcasting of History. 

 

The conference, titled “The Reexamination of Two Canonical Texts on Media Research: Personal Influence and Media Events,” is organized by the University’s School of Communication and the Department of Social and Public Communications and will take place October 7 and 8 at the University. More information is available at the conference web site (note, the site is in French).
