Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, was interviewed for an Associated Press story about the campaign for governor of New York between Democrat Andrew Cuomo and Republican Carl Paladino. Referring to the lack of depth in the campaign and the large amount of negative attack advertisements, Prof. Jamieson said "The irony around the country is — it's not just New York — we have an extraordinarily consequential election. The consultants are going to say, 'You put up your positive alternatives to this and you're going to lose.'"
