Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and Director of the
Annenberg Public Policy Center, was the featured speaker at a National Communication Association (NCA) “CARD” Teleconference (Communicating About Research and Professional Development), on Tuesday, January 18.
The CARD calls are a professional development resource provided by NCA for its members. This monthly teleconference series for communication scholars features research presentations and professional development topics. Every other month there is a research presentation by an NCA Distinguished Scholar, an honor Prof. Jamieson holds, which is followed by questions and discussion with participants.
The title of Prof. Jamieson’s talk was “Communication Scholarship and the Public.” Other speakers on the program included Joann Keyton, Professor, Department of Communication, North Carolina State University; and Katherine Rowan, Professor, Department of Communication, George Mason University.
