Barbie Zelizer, Ph.D., the Raymond Williams Professor of Communication, talked about the media’s responsibility in covering a celebrity meltdown story like the one following actor Charlie Sheen. “[…]are journalists supposed to be deciding when celebrity becomes too excessive because it's connected to mental illness? I don't think so," Prof. Zelizer said.
