Prof. Jamieson looks at President Obama's speech on the economy

Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, was a guest on the August 9 NPR program The Takeaway, where she evaluated whether President Barack Obama’s August 8 speech on the nation’s economy was effective. “That speech needed to be decisive, competent, and compassionate,” she said, adding that the President fell short on all three criteria.
