Corrina Laughlin

Corrina Laughlin is interested in how American religious communities theorize, theologize, narrativize and implement media strategies.  Her research has focused on American evangelicalism and the spiritual movements surrounding Transcendental Meditation and the Sri Chinmoy Center.  She is especially concerned with how these communities conceptualize and use digital media both as a means to proselytize and as a way to maintain internal networks.  Corrina holds an M.A. in English from New York University and a B.A. in both English and Religious Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
