Rowan Howard-Williams is a doctoral candidate at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focus on discourses of global environmental risk, in particular campaigns and activism related to climate change, and their contribution to broader social conceptions of the environment. He holds a BA(Hons) and MA in Media and Communication from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
