Annenberg School Alumni
Since its founding in 1959, over 1,000 students have received graduate degrees from
the Annenberg School for Communication, including Ph.D. degrees in communication
first given out beginning in 1968.
But those numbers can't convey the many uses our students have made of their Annenberg
School education.
Our graduates can be found teaching and conducting research at major colleges and
universities in the United States and abroad. They work in the research and policy
departments of commercial and public broadcasting networks and serve in key management
positions at some of the largest advertising and public relations firms as well
as other types of corporations. On Capitol Hill and in many of the parts of the
executive branch of government, they advise elected and appointed officials on communication
issues.
They can also be found conducting significant research in the non-profit sector.
Some establish and manage their own communication businesses ranging from assembling
financing packages for new cable networks and conducting qualitative research to
lobbying for public interest issues and writing books, producing films, making videos.
We are proud that our alumni continue to use the talents developed at ASC to advance
the understanding of communication.
In these pages you can learn what your fellow ASC alumni have accomplished, and
what the Annenberg School for Communication is doing to help promote your profession,
your career, and the school itself.
