Deborah Linebarger, Katie McMenamin, and Deborah Wainwright released a new report on the effectiveness of SUPER WHY! in supporting youngsters early literacy skills. In the report, Dr. Linebarger & colleagues present the findings from an 8-week evaluation of the program. Results of the evaluation illustrated that watching SUPER WHY! (when compared to a Control group) was associated with significant and sustained growth in early literacy skills. Further, the researchers found that SUPER WHY! viewers found the characters and the program highly appealing.
