Hermon Mebrahtu, grants manager at the Annenberg School for Communication, has been selected to participate in Leadership@Penn, an exclusive training program run by Penn Human Resources.
The Leadership@Penn program is designed to recognize the broader set of competencies that Penn leaders need to be successful in the future by:
- Providing Penn with the leadership capability needed to make the university increasingly successful in an ever-changing environment.
- Supporting people in developing a broader understanding of Penn, how we do things and what we need to do to capitalize on our ability to get things done.
- Creating a stronger identification with Penn, its mission and how people contribute to the whole.
- Developing, retaining and attracting the talent needed to enhance Penn's success.
The program is structured around three tracks; workshops focused on building competencies; applied learning activities that engage participants in real-time work that provides opportunities to meaningfully practice the leadership ideas and lessons presented during the program, and an individual development track customized to each participant.
“We know that Hermon will make a significant contribution to the cohort and will continue to have a positive impact on Penn,” said Tom Sontag, MBA, SPHR, Executive Director, Learning and Education/Communications in Penn’s Division of Human Resources.
Ms. Mebrahtu is the second Annenberg staff member to participate in Leadership@Penn. Debra Williams, Ed.D., Director of Special Events, participated in an earlier cohort.
