the PLUG goes bag shopping

Can a thing be more perfect?

When the PLUG goes out on the town, things happen. Blood splatters, valuable objects are dented and broken, people fall down, and those people who refuse to fall down are often pushed. There are mosh pits, loud music, and invariably, fire. It's only natural that the PLUG needs sturdy cases for carting about their high priced Leica gear.

About to embark on a world tour, where there would doubtless be dismemberment, fistfights, absinthe drinking, and cattle mutilation, the PLUG went shopping for camera bags in the last days of November, 2000.

We are pleased to introduce the official PLUG bag, the Leicaslacker model Z1, custom made to exacting specifications by Acme Products, China. It's a fully metal case with key locks and foam inserts. Measuring just 11x8x5, it's perfect for one camera body and three to five lenses and will protect your precious equipment from spies and wild animals. It comes in smoked gunmetal but you can spray paint it any color your heart desires.

Punch-out foam inserts allow you to create custom space for your favorite Leica gadgets. (Will also hold a Leica M and a Luger.) The entire insert is removeable, so it is possible to have several different internal configurations or no interior foam at all.

Being prepared for any photo opportunity that may arise is not really a forte of the PLUG. Were that the case, we'd probably have a big sack full of nikons, zoom lenses, and high powered flashes with Quantum Turbo batteries: A lot like the White House press corps. The PLUG insists, however, on arriving in style and annoying the competition. This is easily done since we dress well and drink a lot. When was the last time you saw some joker from the White House photo pool hanging out with Kate Moss?

Clip on strap rings and key locks accentuate this finely crafted case. Perfect for the plugger on the go, or someone who just needs a good place to keep his lunch.

Whether getting the goods on a cheating husband, copying documents with a Leica Copy Stand, or simply chasing people with a loaded gun, no plugger would be seen without his or her hardshell Gen-X Leicaslacking PLUG case. It's not just a fashion accessory, it is fashion.

When the PLUG is on the go, form does not follow fashion. Indeed, fashion is thrust completely to the forefront and form is basically chased away like a mad dog.

The Gen-X Leicaslacker retails for about $29.00. Drop us a line for more information on where to get one.
