BIG NEWS!
After several successful job talks, I received an offer from my top choice! I will be starting this fall as an Assistant Professor at Green Mountain College (http://www.greenmtn.edu/). Key to my decision was the fact that GMC is one of only a few colleges in the country to put environmentalism, sustainability and ecological themes at the core of its curriculum. My partner Romy will be teaching adjunct in the ELA and art departments. Here is a bit more about GMC From their website:

Vermont's Environmental Liberal Arts College
Green Mountain College is a coeducational, private, liberal arts college founded in 1834 by the Methodist Church. We take the environment as a unifying theme underlying the College’s academic and co-curricular programs. GMC is a tight-knit campus community of 760 students, most of whom live on campus. Average class size is about 15 students. Students come from 39 states and 14 foreign countries.
Green Mountain has one of the most beautiful small college campuses in the country, dominated by classic Georgian architecture and tall gracious maple trees. The 155-acre main campus features athletic fields, a farm with garden and livestock, a ropes course, hiking trails, and a great swimming hole on the Poultney River. |

I had a fantastic time in this course. This was the first time at Penn where I felt comfortable (and stimulated) to participate in class. You made this class a good balance between work and fun. Thanks for making it interesting! Good luck!

Professor Falzone was by far the best professor I’ve had at Penn. He made our class so interesting and educational. I was one student who utilized his office hours frequently and he was always willing to discuss the course content with me in more detail and help me understand it more clearly. He didn’t only teach me useful information for the course, but even for life as well! I hope to one day take another course with him as my professor! And I recommend this class to all my friends as well.
