PARGC Student Panel - Creative Digital Practices: Exploring User Generated Content

Description:

A new production force housed under the name of the user, fan, freelancer or civil society has now established itself in the fabric of digital content creation. Through an array of bite-sized presentations this panel introduces a diverse set of contexts then explores and theorizes their user generated content (UGC) as a generative, complex and contentious creative practice.

The UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and Internet Freedom - Developments and Perspectives

For the past decade, since its adoption at the 2005 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), the UN has organized the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), a multi-stakeholder initiative that, inter alia, addresses topics of access, safety, privacy and freedom of the Internet. The Ninth and most recent Annual Meeting was held in Istanbul, Turkey from 2-5 September 2014.
