The Center for Africana Studies and Annenberg School for Communication presents: A Master Class on Beat Making and Sampling in Hip-Hop with 9th Wonder, Center for Africana Studies Spring 2016 Artist-in-Residence, and his production crew - The Soul Council; Eric Jones (E.Jones), Kashif Norville (Kash), Christopher Tyson (Khrysis), Warren Hendricks (Amp), Eric Gabouer (Eric G) and Dominick Lamb (Nottz).
Join Grammy Award-winning producer and lecturer, 9th Wonder and The Soul Council in a master class that will teach about the elements of beat making and sampling in hip-hop music. Through his lectures and work within hip-hop communities, 9th Wonder has continuously built connections between hip-hop, academia and social activism. 9th Wonder has produced for various artists, including Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child, Mary J. Blige and Erykah Badu.
