Founder of "Emily's Entourage" to speak at 2013 undergraduate graduation

Emily Kramer-Golinkoff (C ’07, Gr ’12) , who is currently working toward a graduate degree in bioethics form the University of Pennsylvania, will be the guest speaker at the Annenberg School for Communication’s undergraduate graduation ceremony, Sunday, May 12 at 10 a.m. in the Annenberg Center for Performing Arts’ Zellerbach Theatre, 3680 Walnut Street, Philadelphia. In addition to her studies at Annenberg – graduating cum laude in 2007 – and her work in marketing at Penn Medicine, and her studies for a graduate degree in bioethics, Ms. Kramer-Golinkoff heads “Emily’s Entourage,” a fundraising and awareness organization raising money for the fight against Cystic Fybrosis, a progressive genetic diseases of the lungs and digestive system affection Emily and 30,000 other people in the U.S. Throughout her life, Ms. Kramer-Golinkoff has had to take medication (nearly 30 pills per day), and undergo physical treatments to enable her to breathe. Previous speakers at Annenberg’s undergraduate graduation ceremony have included Rebecca Kaplan (C ’10), who covered the 2012 Presidential Campaign for the National Journal, Vanessa Bayer (C ’04), a featured player on the NBC television program “Saturday Night Live’” and Trang Do (C ’06) currently a reporter for the FOX news affiliate in York, Pa. who addressed graduates in 2010.
