Zelizer Delivers Lecture on War Reporting at Hamilton College

Barbie Zelizer, Ph.D., the Raymond Williams Professor of Communication, delivered the kickoff lecture for Hamilton College’s The Age of Information series of academic lectures on August 30 at the Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. Dr. Zelizer, a former journalist, presented "When Reporting War Is More Imagined Than Real" on August 30. The talk was to discuss “the boundaries and limitations of reporting war in general and … to segue into a discussion of how images exacerbate those limitations.”
