Jordan, Bleakley, and Hennessy pen opinion piece on sex ed in The Philadelphia Inquirer

Amy Jordan, Ph.D., director of the Media and the Developing Child sector of the Annenberg Public Policy Center (APPC), and APPC scholars Amy Bleakley, Ph.D., and Michael Hennessy, Ph.D., have written an op ed titled "Media have a role in sex ed,"  that appears in the April 7 edition of The Philadelphia Inquirer. "We have found that sexual content is prevalent in teen-oriented movies, television, music, and magazines. Yet information about safe sex or the negative consequences of risky sexual behavior is virtually absent," they wrote.
