Kraidy's Talks and Publication Activities

Marwan M. Kraidy, Professor of Communication at Annenberg, is currently the Edward Said Chair of American Studies at the University of Beirut. Prof. Kraidy recently gave several public lectures and talks, including the Edward Said Lecture at the American University of Beirut in February, a talk about the rising role of Turkish media and popular culture in the Middle East at Izmir University of Economics in Izmir, Turkey, and a talk about cultural production during revolutionary times at the Jordan Media Institute in Amman, Jordan, both in May.    Prof. Kraidy also recently published an article in Middle East Journal of Culture and Communication, 2012, titled “The Revolutionary Body Politic: Preliminary Thoughts On A Neglected Medium In The Arab Uprisings, Middle East Journal of Culture and Communication,” pp. 68-76.
