Professor Krippendorff Elaborates his Theory of Human-Centered Design at University in Columbia

Professor Klaus Krippendorff was invited by the Universidad de Bogota Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Colombia for an intensive intervention on behalf of human-centered design, based on his book “The Semantic Turn.” On July 12, 2011 he addressed about 500 faculty and students from all over Bogota about “Basic Concepts of Human-Centered Design.” That afternoon he discussed its “Educational Implications” with about 150 Columbian professors of creative disciplines, including of design. Then he conducted a two-day workshop with 80 selected students and faculty, practicing these principles in small teams, including doing stakeholder research. On July 15, the results of this workshop were presented to the public and the press.
