Professor Krippendorff is keynote speaker and workshop leader at Oxford

Klaus Krippendorff was invited by the Open University (U.K.) to give a keynote address and one-day workshop at its international conference on “Twenty-first Century Visions: Systems Practice for Managing Complexity,” July 14-17, 2003, at the University of Oxford, St. Anne’s College. The title of his keynote was “First- and Second-Order Cybernetics.” His workshop addressed issues of language and discourse in managing complexity, specifically discussing the implications of three of his papers: “Major Metaphors of Communication and some Constructivist Reflections on their Use,” “Undoing Power,” and “Redesigning Design; An Invitation to a Responsible Future.”
