Talia Jomini Stroud wins ICA Dissertation Award

Talia Jomini Stroud (Ph.D. '06) has been selected to receive the K. Kyoon Hur Dissertation Award from the Mass Communication Division of the International Communication Association for the best dissertation in mass communication research. Her dissertation is titled: "Selective Exposure to Partisan Information." Professor Vincent Price was her advisor. Both will be honored at a 6pm reception following ICA's Mass Communication Division business meeting on Sunday, May 21 in Continental Ballroom 4 (Hilton). Dr. Stroud is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where she is also Assistant Director of the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Participation.
