Emily Hund defended her dissertation at the Annenberg School for Communication in June 2019 and is now a research affiliate at the Center on Digital Culture and Society. She is interested in the intersections of social media and consumer culture, with particular expertise on social media influencers. Prior to coming to Annenberg, she worked as a magazine editor, social media strategist, and freelance writer. Hund has a B.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in Sociology from Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
