Opeyemi Akanbi is an attorney studying telecommunications policy and privacy. She has examined the flow of analogies in the net neutrality debate and employed experimental methods to query the principle of "the reasonable expectation of privacy." She is currently examining the blurring boundaries separating work from other domains and the implications for employee privacy and company security.
Akanbi was a Consortium on Media Policy Studies Fellow during which she worked with the Ranking Digital Rights Project on the Corporate Accountability Index. She was also the guest scholar at the Thirtieth Annual Aspen Institute Conference on Communications Policy.
