The Center for Media at Risk is devoted to fostering free and critical media practice and scholarship. The Center will provide a hub for practical and scholarly discussions of the global media environment and how its practitioners work under threatening political conditions.

Mission
The Center aims to enhance information sharing among national and international scholars and practitioners in journalism, documentary, entertainment and digital practice where political intimidation occurs.
The Center will house visiting practitioners and scholars, hold lectures, symposia and provide opportunities for the free flow of information in the current media environment.
The Center for Media at Risk will officially launch in April 2018.
