Biography

I did two years post graduate scientist (post-doc) at the Institute for Mathematics Applied to Geosciences (IMAGe), at National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO before I moved to Purdue in 2008. I moved to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2013, and now I am a Marjorie Roberts Professor. I  previously held a Richard and Margaret Romano Professorial Scholar, an Office of Risk Management & Insurance Research (ORMIR) Faculty Scholar, and a Data Science Founder Professorial Scholar.

Research Description

My research mainly focuses on spatial and spatio-temporal statistics and environmental statistics concerning problems in climatology, atmospheric sciences, public health, forestry and agriculture.
