Howdy!

I am a performer, writer, and director living in Greater Houston on colonized Sana and Coahuiltecan land. I identify as a queer, Brown, non-binary, neurodivergent, wealthy child of first generation Filipine-US American immigrants. At the core of my artistic practice sits the intention to help nudge cultures within the US empire towards worldviews centered around collective liberation, healing, and flourishing.

My latest short film, The Degrowth of Social Media, illustrates how instance-based social media can help build more resilient and care-full communities in the face of immense socioecological change. This project was supported by The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation, the Department of Earth and Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Center for Experimental Ethnography; it was invited to screen at the 2023 Screening Scholarship Media Festival and the 9th International Degrowth Conference; and it screened with degrowth groups in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Austria. My first short film, amerikkkan degrowther, screened at the 8th International Degrowth Conference and the 2021 conference for the Canadian Society for Ecological Economics. I am currently producing a variety of video series for social media (check out my work on TikTok and Instagram) and developing a feature length essay film on the phenomenon of stardom.

I hold a Master of Environmental Studies in Degrowth & Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a BFA in Acting with a Minor in Sustainability Studies from the University of Minnesota / Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program, where I graduated with summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors.

I am a member of the collective administering the online resource hub degrowth.info.
