Ozan Kuru, Ph.D.
Ozan Kuru obtained his B.A. in Psychology at Koc University (2012) and Ph.D. in Communication at the University of Michigan, where he held a Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship (2018). His dissertation examined partisan biases in perceptions of public opinion reports and the effectiveness of journalistic remedies in reducing such biases. Currently he works as the Howard Deshong Postdoctoral Fellow at the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania and investigates the nature of challenges in public understanding of scientific evidence. He also serves as a committee member of the False Accusations Against Surveys Ad Hoc Committee at the American Association for Public Opinion Research (2017-2019), preparing a report that addresses the partisan rhetoric and other credibility challenges for public opinion polls.
