Xinwei Wu is a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Journalism of Renmin University of China and a visiting scholar at the Annenberg School for Communication. Her research areas mainly include communication theory, cultural research, interactive interface research, media archaeology, and German media theory. Her current work is focused on the logistics and express delivery systems in contemporary China, discussing how this highly data-oriented communication practice integrates people and objects into an online and offline infrastructure system and active interactive interface, so as to present diversified experiences and data-oriented ideologies. She is also critically studying the application of media archaeology and German cultural technological theory in China's communication environment and the possibilities of concrete practice. She has published research papers in outlets including Journalism & Communication, Modern Communication, Henan Social Science, Hebei Academic Journal, and Editorial Friend.
