Prateekshit Pandey studies the relationship between engagement with political humor and individual political traits. He uses both behavioral and neuroimaging experiments to understand the psychological mechanisms of processing of humor.
Prateekshit (pruh-TEEK-shit) Pandey is a member of the Communication Neuroscience Lab at the Annenberg School, where he explores the effect of political humor on a variety of behavioral outcomes, and investigates brain activity underlying processing of humorous content. Being an improvisational comedian himself at Comedy Sportz Philadelphia, he believes that humor and political satire has the power to change hard held beliefs and help us look at difficult problems with a different perspective.
Before joining Annenberg, he completed his undergraduate degree in computer science and engineering at IIIT-Delhi, India, where he was an active member of the Image Analysis and Biometrics Research Lab.
