Amber Hye-Yon Lee is a joint Ph.D. candidate at the Annenberg School for Communication and the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests include American politics, political communication, and political psychology, with a focus on polarization and social identity. Her dissertation examines the social consequences of perceived partisan polarization in the United States, especially how perceived polarization undermines the social glue that holds people and society together.
