Alvin Zhou

Doctoral Student

Alvin Zhou is a first-year doctoral student at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. Zhou is broadly interested in research on social networks, strategic communication, and computational social science. He finished several projects on human rights using computational methods before coming to Philly. His current research focuses on the network dynamics in organizational and political settings.

Zhou received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and B.A. in Journalism from Tsinghua University, and his M.A. in Strategic Public Relations from the USC Annenberg School. He worked for Vista Story, a Beijing-based news magazine, before coming to the US.

Alvin Zhou is a first-year doctoral student at the Annenberg School for Communication.
