Paul Messaris Media Laboratory

The Media Lab, a partnership with the Annenberg School Library, provides equipment and support to members of the Annenberg School who work with multimedia.

At the Media Lab, located in Room 222, students, faculty, scholars, and staff from the Annenberg School have access to Mac workstations loaded with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, professional A/V equipment, and assistance from Media Lab staff on any multimedia project, including help with video and audio editing.

The Media Lab has an additional two Mac workstations in the Annenberg library, as well as a professional recording booth in the main Annenberg building.

Use the Media Lab for:

  • A/V Equipment Rental
  • Video Production and Editing
  • Image Scanning and Processing
  • Color Printing
  • Audio Recording and Editing
  • Digitizing of VHS tapes or DVDs

Every Media Lab iMac contains the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including:

  • Photoshop
  • Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • Audition
  • Illustrator

In addition, the two iMacs in the Annenberg library have:

  • Final Cut Pro
  • Davinci Resolve

The Media Lab offers rentals of video cameras, still cameras, lighting kits, and microphones.

To view and borrow equipment, sign in to the booking portal with your PennKey username and password.

The Media Lab has two iMacs in the back of the Annenberg library. To access one of these iMacs, ask a library staff member for assistance.
