Below is a partial list of the many resources that the University of Pennsylvania provides its students. Please follow the links for more information.
Career Services provides Penn undergraduates and alumni with resources related to career exploration, graduate school, and internship and job searching. Check out the graduate schools attended and first jobs held by Communication majors after graduation. Also, consider referencing resources by career field.
The Annenberg School follows the University’s academic calendar.
Code of Academic Integrity
Annenberg students are expected to abide by the University’s policy on academic integrity.
Communication Within the Curriculum (CWiC)
Communication Within the Curriculum (CWiC) works with students to help improve their public speaking and presentation skills. Students can gain skills by working with a speaking advisor, enrolling in a CWiC affiliated course, or attending a workshop.
Marks Family Writing Center
Marks Family Writing Center provides writing support to Penn students six days a week.
The Annenberg Library, located on the second floor of the Annenberg School, is an invaluable resource online and off for the latest in Communication research.
Weingarten Learning Resources Center
Weingarten Learning Resources Center provides both individual appointments and workshops to help students develop skills in academic reading, writing, study strategies, and time management.
Citation Management Tools
Citation Management Tools, offered as a service of Penn Libraries, allows students to keep track of their articles and books as they conduct research and then easily turn them into citations and bibliographies in Microsoft Word.
David B. Weigle Information Commons (WIC)
David B. Weigle Information Commons (WIC), housed in Van Pelt Library, provides multimedia training for students. Students can seek assistance during walk-in hours, by attending a workshop, or by requesting a custom training session. WIC also hosts contests and fellowships throughout the year.
Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CURF)
Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CURF) assists undergraduates in pursuing their independent research interests through consultations and grants or other funding opportunities.
Division of Public Safety
The Division of Public Safety offers the PennReady program to help the community understand emergency procedures and sign up for alert notifications.
Sexual Misconduct Policies and Practices
To create and sustain a campus climate in which members of the University community are able to thrive and achieve their full potential, the University has established a wide range of policies, educational programs, resources, support, and reporting systems to respond to complaints of sexual misconduct made against members of the Penn community.
