Lizzie Martin studies political communication with a focus on U.S. public opinion and policymaking.

Lizzie Martin is a joint Ph.D. candidate at the Annenberg School for Communication and the Department of Political Science. She studies public opinion and its role in policymaking.

A 2021-2023 Presidential Management Fellow with the U.S. federal government, Lizzie previously served as a graduate fellow at the U.S. Department of State through Princeton University’s Scholars in the Nation’s Service Initiative. She has also been an American Political Science Association (APSA) Public Scholarship Fellow and an APSA Institute for Civically Engaged Research Fellow.

Lizzie has a master’s degree in statistics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master in Public Affairs with a certificate in global health and health policy from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. As an undergraduate, Lizzie studied public policy and creative writing at Princeton University.
