Career and Outcomes
The MCMI curriculum helps students understand the socio-cultural, technological, political, and economic dynamics of media change, and how best to apply these insights to contemporary problems in a wide range of media, communication, and digital technology sectors.
Our core courses and electives will equip students to think historically, across different cultural contexts, and to use multiple methods to assess change and develop creative solutions in corporate, non-profit, policy and government, arts, and activist settings. We anticipate students forging diverse career paths in a wide range of fields and settings including media planning and strategy, journalism and news organizations, corporate communications, consulting, media research and data analytics, information and tech product design, education, public administration, arts organizations, and government and public affairs, among many others. Some students will also build on the master's degree to pursue doctoral studies.
